CIS: 2016, Week One: Welcome to the Jungle

And We’re Off!

Camp Indian Springs has officially started its second year and we are thrilled! Our theme for this week is Welcome to the Jungle as our campers will begin to explore our campus by  canoeing, fishing, playing get to know you games, and more! We are so excited about this summer and can’t wait to share it with you!

Camp Indian Springs has an official twitter and Facebook page now! Feel free to go like, follow, and communicate with us there too! The links will be below!

Also, be on the look out for posts about our theme for the week, Meet the Counselor, Camper of the Week, and pictures from our field trips! The older campers (11-13 boys and girls) are going to First Avenue Rocks and the younger campers (5-10 boys and girls) are going to the Zoo!

Less Than A Week Until Camp!

Greetings! There is officially less than one week before camp starts! We hope you guys are as excited as we are. We have so much planned for this summer and can’t wait to get started. A couple of things to remember before camp begins:

Drop-Off/Pick-Up:

All drop-offs and pick-ups will be located at the gym this year (not the dining hall).

Campers can be dropped off as early as 6:30am without any charge to parents! (Extended camp (3:00pm – 6:00pm) is extra at $5 per day per child.)

The Dos and Don’ts of CIS:

  • Dos:
    • Make sure your camper wears his/her camp shirt everyday (they can be purchased in the front office for $10)
    • Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
    • Label all bags, water bottles, extra clothes, etc. with your camper’s last name and first initial so they don’t get lost.
    • And most importantly…bring a good attitude! We want to have tons of fun this summer and the best way to do that is enjoy yourself.
  • Don’ts:
    • Don’t bring personal items to camp (toys, phones, iPods, etc.)
    • No canned or glass bottles in lunches (plastic or box drinks are fine)
    • No bad language, biting, hitting, or fighting at camp. This is not allowed under any circumstances.

If parents ever wish to check weekly schedules they can go to our website, visit About Camp, and click on Weekly Schedules. The password is: cisparents
